We all know Candace Cameron Bure.

She's the star of both Full House and Fuller House.

She's also known for her Hallmark movies.

She's an absolute staple around the holiday season.

Outside the world of acting, there's even more Candace has accomplished.

From Dancing with the Stars to The View.

She's something of a national treasure.

But behind the scenes, things aren't as they seem.

In fact, Candace has faced a lot of controversy over the years.

And we've got a rundown of some of the most scandalous.

So, let's start from the top, shall we?

Candace holds some highly problematic views on, well ... just about everything.

For example, on gender roles.

"I chose to fall into a more submissive role in our relationship because I wanted to do everything in my power to make my marriage and family work," she's said.

"The definition I'm using with the word 'submissive' is the biblical definition of that."

"I love that my man is a leader. I want him to lead and be the head of our family."

She holds similarly archaic views elsewhere, too.

Actress Raven Symone appeared on The View to discuss same-sex marriage, and a bakery which has refused to bake her a cake.

"To me, it's the same exact thing that they did back in the day saying that black people couldn't do certain things because it's my 'religious belief.'"

But Candace hit back.

"They had a problem with the actual ceremony because that—the ceremony—is what conflicted with their religious beliefs. They are saying that they stand for marriage between a man and a woman."

Symone simply responded, "I refuse to associate with you right now."

She's even doubled down on her views, though.

"I just wish that we all could be respectful to one another regardless of our opinions, especially if they differ from one another."

"I just wish people would say, 'Good! You have your opinion and I have mine, but let's still be nice and kind."

"I admit even a few of the days that I was on, there were a lot of hurtful comments."

But what makes this even more sketchy?

Candace seemed to avoid episodes of The View where her views would be called into question ...

It's happened more than once.

Remember when things got heated between Candace and Whoopi Goldberg over a lack of diversity at Hollywood award shows?

Well, Candace then disappeared midway through the show.

via: Shutterstock

Later, she claimed it wasn't because she was avoiding the argument ...

""I left the show today b/c I didnt feel well, not because of the discussion," she Tweeted.

via: Shutterstock

But it's safe to say that basically, nobody believed her ...

And that's not the only time she's shared some problematic views.

Remember that whole Chik-fil-A controversy?

The brand expressed an openly anti-gay-marriage stance.

via: Shutterstock

And soon after, she publicly supported the brand, buying food from one of their stores.

But it seems these horrendous ultra-conservative views run in the family.

Ever heard of Candace's brother, Kirk?

He's no stranger to spouting hateful nonsense.

via: Shutterstock

He's referred to gay marriage as "unnatural" in the past. Yikes.

And it gets worse.

via: Shutterstock

When questioned further on the topic, he said, "I think that it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization."

And as for what Candace had to say on the matter?

via: Shutterstock

"I think Kirk does his stuff great and does his stuff really well, and I think...what I do, I do well. And we're a great brother and sister."

But in spite of her controversial views ...

via: Shutterstock

She's doubled down on them and refuses to apologize.

"I'm not trying to please everyone."

via: Shutterstock

"I only have an audience of ONE. That's God."

"And while I take the responsibility of role model seriously, I'm not perfect."

via: Shutterstock

"I never will be. I'm a human being with faults and a sinful heart by nature."

So there you have it.
