Saget was best known for playing Danny Tanner in the ’80s sitcom, Full House.

The popular sitcom ran from 1987 to 1995 with Saget later reprising the role in 2016 for a Netflix reboot, Fuller House.

Fuller House ran for 4 years.

He also voiced the narrator for How I Met Your Mother.

Saget was part-way through a standup comedy tour when the unthinkable happened…

He had performed a show in Jacksonville the night prior to his death.

He was found unresponsive in his hotel room by staff at the Ritz-Carlton.

Local authorities were called to the hotel, but Saget was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passing was confirmed in an initial statement by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, as per The Daily Mail.

In the statement, police revealed that they had responded to “a man down” call “just after 4 p.m.”

“On arrival, they located a man who was unresponsive in a hotel room,” it read, the outlet reports.

“The man, identified as Robert Lane Saget, was pronounced deceased on scene.”

According to the Ritz, where he was staying at the time, Bob entered his room at 2:17 AM after returning from his show…

He was supposed to check out just hours later.

Before entering his room for the final time, Bob tweeted at 12:42 AM, with a picture of him onstage after completing his show…

His family tried multiple times to get hold of him later that morning, with no luck, which prompted them to ask a Ritz-Carlton Hotel security staffer to check on him.

An Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy stated in his report that the staff member knocked on Bob’s door multiple times before going in around 4 PM, to find all the lights off.

They searched the room and found Bob in the bedroom, lying on the bed with his left arm across his chest and right to his side.

According to their report, he was cold to the touch and had no detectable pulse.

When EMS arrived, they pronounced Bob dead on the scene.

Although details surrounding Saget’s cause of death are still unknown, it appears that cops have their assumptions.

And her words are a comfort to those who loved him…

Rizzo told Hoda Kotb that their last conversation was “all love.”

“It was all ‘I love you so much.’ I think I said, ‘I love you dearly,’ and then he said, ‘I love you endlessly,’ and then I said, ‘I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.’ It was just all love.”

She added: “He was just the best man I’ve ever known in my life, and he was just so kind and so wonderful and everybody that was in his life knew it.”
