Texas Senator Ted Cruz has ruffled a few feathers after commenting on Pete Davidson’s past relationships.
On Monday’s episode of The View, the presenters discussed comments made on his podcast, Verdict With Ted Cruz.
People are calling him out for being disrespectful.

Now, although Ted Cruz is the Senator of Texas…
He’s an unbelievably controversial man.
Although he failed to run for president in 2016 behind Donald Trump, Cruz has gone on to achieve a very successful career in U.S. government and politics…
And the Republican has made quite the name for himself with his right-wing views and his hot and cold relationship with Trump throughout his controversial presidency.
But he’s also made quite the tarnished name for himself over the years with some very eye-opening moves and opinions.
Not only is Cruz an avid supporter of the NRA, but he is now also a very loyal Trump supporter who rallied behind the scorned former POTUS when Joe Biden won the 2020 election.
Cruz provoked a widespread political and popular backlash after filing objections to Biden’s victory certification…
And when it came to the Capitol Hill riot on January 6th, the senator was slammed for “amplifying” the false claims of voter fraud that drove the thousands of Trump supporters to invade the scared political building on that day.
Things then got even worse for Cruz when Texas experienced its “big freeze” in January last year…
And as thousands of families were suffering without electricity or running water in below-freezing temperatures, Cruz instead packed his bags and boarded a plane with his family heading for Cancun, Mexico.
Residents of Texas were left feeling furious with their senator, to say the least…
And although Cruz hastily returned to Texas and issued a half-hearted apology, the damage had been done.
Cruz’s reputation has seriously been dragged through the mud in the last few months…
And now, it seems as he’s made yet another questionable move after commenting on Pete Davidson’s past girlfriends.
Speaking on his podcast Verdict With Ted Cruz, the senator spoke about how shocked he was that Pete Davidson has dated so many “hot women.”
Using his ex Kate Beckinsale as an example.
And The View hosts were quick to pick up on his comments, branding Cruz as “Creepy and Disgusting.”
Whoopi Goldberg brought Cruz’s wife into the conversation before playing a short clip from his podcast.
“Heidi Cruz, this is two,” Goldberg announced. “This is the second time he’s just not paid any attention to what you might be feeling.”
Cruz can be heard asking his co-host Michael Knowles: “Pete Davidson, alright. How come that dude gets all of these hot women?” talking about Beckinsale who dated Pete in 2019.
“You’re talking Underworld, you’re talking super hot vampire in black leather trench coat, and you’re like, really? This SNL dude? Like, wow.”
After listening to the clip, co-host Ana Navarro said: “This gives me heebie-jeebies, can I just tell you? It’s so creepy and so disgusting. So he might want to say, ‘How come that dude on SNL—,’ I want to know, how come that dude is a U.S. senator and is doing a podcast and spends so much time trolling on Twitter? I mean, does he think that he’s gonna lead by being a social media influencer?”
Sunny Hostin clearly agreed with her comments, saying: “I don’t understand why he has a podcast, quite frankly, talking about this kind of stuff.”
Joy Behar then mocked Cruz’s apparent “fantasies.”
“I don’t understand why he’s fantasizing about going to Cancun with Kate Beckinsale,” Behar said. “Cuz that’s really — at night, he’s got these fantasies of her in this leather. It’s a little S&M thing going on.”
Navarro replied: “Oh, for the love of god. Bleach my mind’s eye. I would like to erase that image!”
Behar added: “The reason women like Pete Davidson is because he is funny. Ted Cruz, you’re funny because people laugh at you. Pete Davidson, people are laughing with him.”
She then addressed the senator, saying: “By the way, Ted Cruz has long advocated for criminalizing abortion. I don’t think that that’s a turn-on to women, Teddy.”
