Fans have urged Marvel to put a trigger warning at the beginning of Thor: Love and Thunder after the plot included some disturbing scenes.
Be warned, spoilers ahead.
Marvel’s latest movie was released on July 6 and has been popular among the masses…
But fans have noticed something the producers missed.
While ex-lovers Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman teamed up for the superhero movie, part of the plot seemed to have left fans on the edge…
Don’t worry, there’s no awkwardness, it is just one particular scene.
And that’s one which included Natalie Portman…
Part of the plot included scenes of Portman’s character, Jane Foster, undergoing treatment for stage four cancer.
But there seems to be some concerns about showing the chemotherapy treatment that has left fans distraught…
Fans said the filmmakers should have added a “trigger warning” at the beginning of the movie, as the “graphic depiction” of the therapy was awfully disturbing.
And they didn’t hold back from slamming the makers for it.
“No spoilers, but Thor: Love and Thunder SHOULD have had a trigger warning for graphic depiction of cancer and the fact that we didn’t know going in is atrocious,” said one Twitter user.
Another suggested fans do some “googling on the plot” before watching the movie, as it is quite disturbing.
While some had strong views on the matter, others had a mixed opinions…
“Both my mother & a close friend battled cancer a couple years ago. Thor’s desire to protect Jane & Jane’s struggle to keep fighting really hit home. I think we all needed to hear a story like this.” wrote one fan.
