After being involved in a serious car accident yesterday, golfing legend Tiger Woods is now thankfully awake following major surgery...

And people have been sending in their messages of support and well-wishes since the incident.

Woods, who is forty-five-years-old, was involved in a car crash yesterday morning.

The Daily Mail reported that he was driving near Rancho Palos Verdes in Los Angeles when his vehicle flipped over at around 7.12 am on February 23rd.

He appeared to have then careered off the road uphill, landing on a grassy verge.

It has also been reported that to get Woods out of the wreckage, firefighters used a device known as the "jaws of life" to break open the car.

While his current condition isn't known...

His agent, Mark Steinberg, told Golf Digest:

"Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support."

Shocking images soon emerged of the car wreckage...

And it has been confirmed that nobody else was involved in the accident.

The golfing legend is now undergoing surgery after sustaining multiple leg injuries, according to his agent.

We're hoping and praying that Woods will be making a quick recovery from this terrible accident.
