TikTok star Timbo the Redneck has tragically died after trying to film a stunt for the social media app, his family has revealed…
The eighteen-year-old TikTok sensation, who had over 200k followers, died on Saturday when he was thrown out from his truck, which then flipped and landed on top of him.
His distraught mother confirmed the devastating news on her son’s Instagram page.
“Hey I’m Tesse, Timbo the Redneck’s mother,” she said. “He won’t be making any more videos. No more videos at all.
“My son was in a bad accident yesterday and didn’t make it,” she continued. “And I wanna thank everybody, for all the fans that he had. He loved TikTok and just believed in all the fans, everybody that supported him, it meant a lot to him.
“Sometimes he wouldn’t listen to me, he was like ‘I gotta do this TikTok’… My heart is just so broken,” she said, revealing that she was trying to get help with the funeral costs by setting up a GoFundMe page.
People on social media have shared their thoughts on his tragic passing.
One Facebook user wrote: “So many of these stars dying trying to get ‘that shot.’ Such a sad culture to live in. Prayers to his family.”
While another commented: “I’m sorry for what the parents and friends are going through, but it seems a lot of people are dying as a result of trying to be popular on TIKTOK.”
“A mother lost her child. Friends and family lost a loved one. This world needs more love…compassion and empathy. We all have done things we probably shouldn’t have…but we are alive. This family lost a loved one…so instead of pointing out that it wasn’t a good choice…let’s show love and compassion,” a third wrote.
Timbo the Redneck, whose real name was Timothy Isaiah Hall, posted several videos of his GMC pickup “Big Booty Judy,” with many of his videos being flagged by TikTok: “The action in this video could result in serious injury.”
The teen’s brother-in-law, Tony, also made a YouTube video, explaining what had happened.
“I don’t even know how to really do this video, because we made so many videos together… I don’t even know how to start this,” he said.
“He passed away this Saturday in a truck crash with his girlfriend Kori, out in the front yard of his friend JD’s house.
“He was doing donuts in the front yard in JD’s house… truck just flipped over and he flew out the driver’s side window, and the truck landed on top of him. His whole body, that truck landed on top of him. And… he’s passed away.”
The GoFundMe for his funeral fees raised almost $10,000 before it was closed.
