“Well, why didn’t you stay retired? Your choice,” wrote one person.

“He should compare his pay! He is ridiculous!” agreed another.

This comes amid rumors of Brady’s and Gisele Bündchen’s split…

Not only that, but he could lose a lot if the divorce goes through.

But before we dive into that story, here’s a little history about the couple…

Brady has been under the spotlight with the NFL for a long time now.

He’s taken his team to victory in the Super Bowl 7 times.

He married a Brazilian supermodel and the love of his life Gisele Bündchen in February 2009…

And they went on to have 2 beautiful children, Vivian Lake Brady and Benjamin Rein — as well as Tom’s son Jack from his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, who Bündchen calls her “bonus child.”

But it wasn’t that easy to accept the reality of Brady’s ex-girlfriend having a baby when Brady had been dating Bündchen for only 2 months…

In her 2018 book titled Lessons: My Path To A Meaningful Life, the Brazilian beauty confessed she was “hurt,” when news broke out of the pregnancy.

But things took an opposite turn when…

Bündchen revealed that “Jack helped my heart expand in ways I didn’t know was possible.”

And she has “no regrets” of being a stepmom too.

After having his children…

Brady announced his retirement.

He released a statement back in February…

However, just forty days later, the forty-five-year-old announced his return!

He came back to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season.

This made him the oldest quarterback to ever start a game in NFL history!

What a huge achievement!

We’re all well aware that Brady has been no stranger to controversy throughout his career.

But come on… what football player isn’t? Brady rose to stardom after being drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft.

He went on to make history for the team.

With a historic Super Bowl win of thirty-four to twenty-eight against the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, Brady became the first quarterback in NFL history to take home 6 Super Bowl rings.

Yet, despite his success in the field, he became wrapped up in scandals.

Remember “Deflategate?” If you don’t, Deflategate is the term that was loosely used to describe the NFL’s investigation into the New England Patriots – and, in particular, Brady – for their alleged tampering with the football inflation levels.

Ahead of their 2014-15 AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts, the Patriots were accused of under-inflating the footballs and one of the longest and most contentious legal battles in NFL history commenced.

In a Facebook post, Brady announced that he would not be continuing with the legal proceeds, and would ultimately be accepting his suspension.

The quarterback went on to sit out the first four games of the 2016-17 regular season. However, he came back in true form at the end of the season, as he and the Patriots won another Super Bowl.

But as well as being one of the world’s most famous NFL players, Brady is also a devoted father.

He has 3 children. His eldest is Jack, aged thirteen, whose mom is Bridget Moynahan, and then there’s Benjamin, eleven, and Vivian, 8, whose mom is Brady’s current wife, Gisele Bündchen.

And they’re such an adorable family.

Brady regularly posts updates of him and his family, who comes down to support him during his games.

But it seems as though the couple are to split up permanently.

According to New York Post, both couples have attained divorce lawyers.

Rumors have been surfing the internet for the past weeks…

Following their fight.

Both have been left wondering how they will divide their multi-million dollar empire.

An unknown source told Page Six, “I don’t think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”

Sources say that the pair are assessing how they would split up their $26 million property following the divorce.

Reports suggest the couple most recently bought a $17 million property on Indian Creek Island in Miami.

The 2 also own several other homes…

One is a luxury Tribeca building in New York City, which is worth $3.6 million.

Another also is a $5.7 million property at Mike Meldman’s exclusive Yellowstone club in Montana.

It’s been reported that Bündchen stayed with the kids whilst Brady lived elsewhere amid the divorce.

More news has come in about the divorce…

Lawyers have estimated how much money Brady will lose out on if he goes through with the divorce.

Brady reportedly has a net worth of $250 million.

Whereas his wife, Bünchden, reportedly has a net worth of $400 million.

It’s been reported that Brady could potentially lose $200 million.

According to Newsweek, a leading divorce lawyer stated that if Brady and Bündchen do not have a pre-nuptial agreement, it could end up costing the NFL star tens of millions of dollars.

Karen Jeary, a divorce expert at law firm Mayo Wynne Baxter, told the media outlet: “Given the extent of Tom’s estimated wealth, $400 million, and that under U.K. matrimonial law the starting point for division of matrimonial assets is 50/50, hopefully, Tom had the foresight to enter into a pre-nuptial agreement with Gisele to protect, in so far as possible, his pre-acquired wealth.”

Jeary continued: “Despite their marriage breakdown being played out in the public eye, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen would be best advised, in order to maintain privacy, proceedings are private law matters and therefore not open to the public domain.

“This will no doubt give them a sense of relief, as their marital issues divulged in court will not be subject to public scrutiny and in particular media scrutiny.

“Additionally, under U.K. divorce law (which is also applicable in a number of U.S. states), the new no-fault divorce means neither party can place blame on the other for the marriage ending,” she said.

Since the announcement of their divorce, Bünchden has been seen publicly with their kids, not wearing her wedding ring.

This comes amongst news that the model has attempted to divorce Brady multiple times over the years.

More details of just exactly how Brady feels about the divorce have been revealed.

  via Getty Images

PEOPLE reports that a source close to the quarterback has exposed his thoughts.

advertisement

“It’s pretty obvious that he’s hurting,” they said. “He feels very hurt by her.”

  via Getty Images

However, another source said: “It’s complicated. There’s a lot more to it.”

advertisement

Another source said: “She is the one steering the divorce. She is playing offense and he is playing defense.”

  via Getty Images

They continued: “He wants to protect himself, protect his interests, but he’s only starting to go the legal route in his defense from her. He doesn’t want this to be ugly, he doesn’t want to fight. If the divorce is happening — and it seems like it is — he wants it to go as smoothly as possible.

advertisement

“Think about it: Tom has had a very charmed life. Things always seem to go his way.

  via Getty Images

“He works hard, he’s a good guy, he hasn’t had a lot of things go wrong in his life. This is awful for him. You can tell that this really, really hurts.”

advertisement

According to reports, the divorce became a thing after Brady’s decision to get out of retirement.

  via Getty Images.

Us Weekly reports that Brady’s friends weren’t impressed with him for going back on his words.

“Gisele and Tom’s friends are upset at Tom for going back on his word and coming out of retirement.

  via Getty Images

“They hate the way Tom is refusing to bend for Gisele,” the source said.

“This was really the first big issue they’ve had in their marriage. Friends are hoping they aren’t past the point of no return. Tom has been throwing himself into work and focusing all his love on the kids.

  via Getty Images

“Gisele has been focusing on their kids and also working to build up her businesses and take some time for herself,” the source said.

And now, Brady has hit headlines once more for some rather controversial comments about his career.

  via Getty Images

“I don’t find much offensive, but this is definitely one of the things I do find offensive. Say that to any military spouse and you are liable to be slapped into the next century,” said one commenter.

“I almost look at like a football season like you’re going away on deployment in the military, and it’s like, man, here I go again,” said Brady on Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray.

  via Getty Images

“When it comes down to it, your competitiveness takes over and as much as you want to have this playful balance with the work balance, you’re going to end up doing exactly what you’ve always done, which is why you are who you are.”

advertisement

Brady also compared the scrutiny his career comes under to the public speculation about his marriage.

  via Getty Images

He claimed he has had to learn “to just ignore as much as possible and realize that most of the people in the conversation don’t have a full idea of what’s really going on.”

“No one really outside of what the group is can really help us anyway, you know?” Brady said.
