It wasn't easy.

In a December 2002 interview with IGN, the actor stated, "When other schools would be doing, sort of, 30 hours, we were doing 60. And we'd be doing stuff that would prepare you in a very different way."

But his hard work paid off...

And he stepped into the spotlight for his role inΒ Band Of BrothersΒ  back in 2001.

He's built himself a very successful career on our screens.

"Best news I've had today."

Maybe a small percentage of viewers will be kids, at least?

But now, he may just have the biggest role of his life.

As the rumor has it, Hardy will be taking over from Daniel Craig and becoming the next James Bond.

It hasn't been confirmed.

Although numerous sources are claiming that Hardy is going to be taking over from Daniel Craig to become the British spy.

Former Bond, Pierce Brosnan believes Hardy would make an excellent Bond.

Speaking recently, Brosnan said:
Daniel Craig has been an incredible Bond. He’s very physical, he looks lethal. You genuinely believe this is someone who could kill a man. He’s complained about doing the part because he’s put himself through a lot physically, but he will do the next movie, and then I think Tom Hardy could be a good Bond.

"I’d be happy to see him do it. You need an actor who can put a bit of wiggle into it, that’s what makes Bond."

The next James Bond movie, No Time To Die,Β finds 007 after he has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. But, of course, his peace is short lived...

An official announcement on the next Bond is due in the next month or two.

But I think we can all agree Tom Hardy would be an exceptional choice.
