Starting as an unknown theatre boy from England, Holland was catapulted to unprecedented levels of fame in 2016 after his Marvel debut in Captain America: Civil War.

The British actor had actually been confirmed as the new SpiderMan.

So many were a little shocked to hear that such an unknown actor had been cast.

But, as the saying goes, age is just a number, right?

Directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo said that Holland had the edge because of his prior experience as a gymnast. In the script, Spider-Man flipped in a scene, and Holland reportedly offered to perform the stunt himself during one of the auditions.

Because Holland’s portrayal of SpiderMan has been a roaring success.

Including Marvel’s 2019 hit, Avengers Endgame, which grossed a staggering $1 billion in the box office.

For a twenty-three-year-old actor, he isn’t doing too badly for himself, is he?

The Marvel Universe has catapulted Holland into the A-list limelight, and he has gradually become one of the most popular actors in the world of Hollywood.

And, heartwarmingly, he has always been a huge fan of the Spiderman franchise.

It always helps, doesn’t it? “I reckon I had thirty SpiderMan costumes over the years since I was a little baby,” Holland told The Hollywood Reporter in 2016. “I had Spider-Man bedsheets. 2 years ago, I went to a fancy dress party dressed as Spider-Man and looked like an absolute idiot.”

Holland is also well known for his comically loveable personality off-screen.

We all remember the time he accidentally let slip that his character had died in Infinity War to an audience full of people who hadn’t yet seen the movie. Ouch.

It was horribly hilarious.

And it has affected how directors and filmmakers work with the actor. Director, Joe Russo once said of Holland’s loose tongue: “Tom Holland gets his lines and that’s it. He doesn’t even know who he’s acting opposite of. We’ll just, we use like very vague terms to describe to him what is happening in the scene because he has a very difficult time keeping his mouth shut.”

People simply love him and, for many, he simply can do no wrong.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of the world is currently sitting in self-isolation, and celebrities are faring no differently.

But Tom’s may have just topped them all.

Yes, pet chickens. During quarantine. It’s a genius idea, isn’t it?

So he decided to get eggs the original way… Through chickens. Taking to Instagram Stories, Tom explained: “With everything that’s going on, the supermarkets are all empty and there’s no eggs – We had no eggs. So we thought, to solve that problem, we would become the source of eggs. And now, we are the owners of chickens.”

Incredibly, he has even given his new pets some very suitable names – Predator, Chestnut, and Ranger.

Obviously, people are loving Tom’s idea.

I now want a pet chicken called Predator…

This self-isolation situation suddenly became a whole lot more bearable.

It’s times like these when our faith in overly-rich celebrities is fully restored.
