Actor Tom Sizemore’s family have shared some tragic news about the star.
“This is heartbreaking,” wrote one fan.

“Thoughts and prayers with the family,” added another.
Sizemore has had a long and impressive acting career.

His big break came in Oliver Stone’s 1989 film Born on the Fourth of July.
Sizemore would go on to have many impressive movie roles.

Including starring in Point Break in 1991, True Romance (1993) and Natural Born Killers (1994).
He is perhaps best known for his role in Saving Private Ryan.

Though you may also recognize Sizemore from Heat and Black Hawk Down.
But over the years, Sizemore has not been a stranger to controversy.

He’s been open about his issues with drug addiction and law enforcement.
Sizemore was sentenced to jail in 2005 after attempting to fake a drug urine test.

He had also pleaded no contest to using m*thamphetamine outside a motel in 2006.
He then had another brush with the law in 2007 while still on probation for the drug conviction.

This led to him being imprisoned for a further 16 months.
Sizemore has publicly spoken about his addiction issues in the past.

Even revealing that in 2007, Robert De Niro checked him into rehab.
But this hasn’t been the only demon Sizemore battled in his life.

He also has a long reported history of domestic abuse.
He’s had several run-ins with the law following domestic violence allegations.

Sizemore was convicted of domestic violence in 2003 against his girlfriend Heidi Fleiss.
Sizemore was also arrested in LA in 2009 for the suspected battery of an unnamed former spouse.

He was arrested for the same offense again in 2011.
Alongside these incidents of violence against women, another court case has haunted Sizemore’s career.

Several years ago, a then-26-year-old actor filed a lawsuit against Sizemore.
They claimed he inappropriately touched her on the set of Born Killers when she was a child, as per the Hollywood Reporter.
Production manager Cassidy Lunnen said that “the girl was so young it was unclear to her and her parents what had actually taken place and if it was intentional or not.”

Actress Robyn Adamson (who also appeared in the film) says of the young girl, “At one point her eyes got just huge, like she could’ve vomited. I was watching her.
The film’s producers are said to have immediately removed Sizemore from the set and reviewed the photographs taken at the photo shoot.

They were unable to find conclusive evidence that the violation had occurred.
They also contacted the girl’s parents, who decided not to press charges.

The casting director for the film speculated that the girl’s parents “didn’t want to possibly ruin their daughter’s film career.”
Eventually, Sizemore was sentenced to six months in prison, but it wasn’t for his actions on the Born Killers set.

In the same month that production began on the film, Sizemore was convicted of physically abusing his ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss.
However, despite being convicted…

Sizemore has always denied these particular allegations against him.
However, recently Sizemore has made the news for another reason.

His family has announced some tragic news…
The actor was hospitalized on 18 February following a brain aneurysm.

And his family has now revealed they are preparing for end-of-life care for the star.
“Today doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decision.

“The family is now deciding end of life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday,” Sizemore’s representative, Charles Lago said, as per the Guardian.
“We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time, and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support and prayers that have been received,” he added.

“This has been a difficult time for them.”
Our thoughts are with Sizemore’s friends and family at this horrifying time.
