‘Friday’ Star Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister’s Cause of Death Has Been Confirmed

Late last year, beloved actor and wrestler, Tommy “Tiny” Lister, sadly died at the age of sixty-two.

And now, the real cause of his death has been revealed…

While Tommy “Tiny” Lister’s did have COVID-19 at the time of his death…

The L.A. County Medical Examiner has now confirmed that’s not what caused his death.

The shocking news devastated fans of the star…

And hundreds were quick to posted tributes while remembering his best performances.







However, his manager, Cindy Cowen, called him “a gentle giant” with “a smile as broad as you could imagine.”

He was known best for his performance in the 1995 comedy Friday, where he played Deebo.

A neighbor of the main characters who ended up making his mark on the film.

He also appeared as a prisoner in Christopher Nolan’s 2008 blockbuster, The Dark Knight.

Lister’s other notable roles include The Fifth Element (1997), Little Nicky (2000), and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2020).

But, in December last year, tragedy struck.

Telling TMZ that he had been found unconscious in his California home on Thursday, December 10th, Cowen said:
“He was a wonderful guy with a heart of gold. Everyone loved him. A real gentle giant. We’re all devastated.”

Lister had been diagnosed with Covid-19 earlier last year.

He recovered, but Cowan admitted he had trouble breathing after becoming sick just a week before. He was found dead at the scene.

His cause of death was just speculation, until now.

Almost 5 months on from the tragedy, the L.A. County Medical Examiner has revealed something surprising.










According to his autopsy, the Friday star died of hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease…



Otherwise known as heart disease.

In documents, obtained by TMZ, a nasal swab also came back positive for COVID-19.

Additionally, he had an enlarged heart with high blood pressure, poor circulation in his legs and coronary artery disease.
