Stella McDermott, daughter of the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Tori Spelling, has graduated middle school in the face of “adversity.”
The forty-nine-year-old shared how proud she was of her daughter on Instagram, explaining that it hasn’t been an easy ride for her in school.
“Stella McDermott GRADUATES!!” Spelling wrote alongside a photo of Stella in her graduation garb. She continued, “My girl graduated from middle school today,” and revealed that although it was a happy day for the family, it was also “bittersweet.”
The mom of 5 shared some of the obstacles that her daughter has tackled throughout her school life and how she came out the other side, proving everyone wrong who doubted her.
“So proud of how hard she fought to graduate amongst bullying, COVID, adversity, migraines, severe anxiety, and sadly teachers and counselors who didn’t believe she could do it all in time to graduate… she proved them all wrong!”
She continued: “So beyond proud but I still look up at that stage and see my tiny little buggy running around. You have such drive and such a kind spirit!
She concluded her post: “You can do absolutely anything you want to do! love you @stella_mcdermott08 with all my heart and soul bff.

Spelling, who is also mom to Liam Aaron, 15, Hattie Margaret, 10, Finn Davey, 9, and Beau Dean, 5, with her husband Dean McDermott has previously opened up about her daughter’s struggles with bullying…
Last year, Spelling said her daughter was dealing with a “painful” bullying experience that left her suffering from panic attacks. But after modeling for Petite ‘n Pretty, she slowly regained her confidence.
“How Stella got her groove back… thx to @petitenpretty – Her 1st modeling shoot as a teen girl,” Spelling said on Instagram.
“Stella is an amazing human. Heart of gold & always leads w/kindness. She’s innovative & creative and full of fire. Which is why as a mom it was so painful to see a young woman’s fire dimmed bc of bullying.”
What an inspiring young woman!
