Here's another one for you...
What about giving birth to triplets that born in different decades?
A mom has given birth to triplets 5 days apart meaning they're born in different decades.
And despite some people having similar stories, it's shocked the internet...
Kaylie DeShane, from New York, now holds the record for the longest interval between the birth of triplets.
It comes after her triplets were born 5 days apart, in different decades.
Her first baby was delivered on 28 December 2019...
And the other 2 triplets were born 5 days later on January 2, 2020.
Kaylie and husband Brandon had been trying to fall pregnant for 4 years before they conceived through IVF.
Speaking with The Mirror, Kaylie explained: "We already have an adopted son, Holden, seven, and a step-daughter, Naveah, 12, but we wanted a sibling for them."
"We decided to place two embryos rather than just one because we thought we would have a better chance of having a baby."
"We were told that there was a 10 per cent chance of it ending up being twins and a one per cent chance of it being a triplet pregnancy. So we really never expected that we would actually end up having triplets."
So you can imagine the shock when they did...
"When we found out we were having three babies we were so shocked but it was incredible. We would have been happy with one baby, and now we were having three."
But sadly, carrying three babies placed Kaylie's pregnancy as high risk.
And she was advised by doctors to terminate the 2 identical babies to give the remaining one a better chance of surviving.
However, Kaylie had hope and she decided to continue her pregnancy carrying triplets.
But then, things began to go wrong...
"At 16 weeks it was discovered that my cervix was failing and that I would need emergency surgery to stitch it up as I was 1 to 2cm dilated," she explained.
"It was absolutely terrifying because we thought we might lose Cian because he was the baby that was closest to the exit and there is a risk that the surgery can rupture the sac. But luckily that didn't happen and the surgery worked. For the next few weeks of the pregnancy, I had to focus on resting in bed to keep my babies inside of me."
At 22 weeks Kaylie had an anatomy scan that confirmed everything with her pregnancy was fine...
But later that evening her waters broke.
"I was so scared because I was only 22 weeks pregnant, I had no idea if babies would live or survive if they were born at this point in the pregnancy."
She went straight to the hospital, where she stayed overnight.
But in the morning, she had quite the surprise...
Her first triplet, Cian, was delivered on December 28th, 2019.
"After they pulled him out they eventually managed to stabilize him. I saw him for a split second before he was taken over to the neonatal intensive care unit. He was so small, I couldn't believe it. He weighed less than 1lb."
Cian was given a 9% chance of survival.
"I lay there expecting the next 2 babies to come but nothing happened. I was kind of like: 'Now what?'"
"Nothing was happening and the doctors explained to me that they wanted to hold off delivering the next to babies for as long as possible because it was so early in the pregnancy."
Kaylie then spent 5 days in labour at 10 cm dilated...
Before her 2 babies, Declan and Rowan, were born on January 2, 2020 weighing just 1lbs 7oz and 1lbs 1oz.
The triplets spent the following 4 months in the neonatal intensive care unit at the hospital before they were eventually allowed home.
"Declan was the first baby to come home with us on April 17. He made it home before their actual due date of April 26. Rowan was the next baby to come home on April 30, and Cian came home on May 4. And we finally had our family at home together."
Now seventeen months old, the triplets are recovering well.
"They are all breathing perfectly and growing great. They are hitting all of their milestones and aren't behind at all. They're healthy, thriving and even close to walking which is incredible because we were never sure that they were going to make it."
"I am so proud of them for the fight they fought."
