Trump Supporters Line His Route Home on Presidents' Day | 22 Words

Following his acquittal over the weekend, Donald Trump was given a hero's welcome on his route home from his Florida golf course...

Which showed that, despite his reputation taking a nosedive this last month, there are still people who have remained loyal to the former president.

Because, ever since the events of January 6th, there has been an influx of scorned rioters who have turned their backs on Trump.

Many of the disgraced supporters who stormed Capitol Hill on that fateful day have spoken out against their once-beloved leader...

And have expressed their disappointment in his lack of support or pardon.

Some were even willing to testify against Trump during his second impeachment trial.

Jacob Chansley, otherwise known as the painted, fur-emblazoned "horn man," admitted - from behind bars, of course - to having once felt "horrendously smitten" with Trump, but then to feeling "like he was betrayed by the president" after the failed pardon.

He then told the Associated Press via his lawyer that he would be open to attending Trump's impeachment trial to testify against him.

But for those supporters who refrained from storming Capitol Hill?

Well, it turns out that they have remained as loyal and faithful as ever before, despite President Biden's inauguration into the White House last month.

Trump supporters are, quite remarkably, confident in his eventual comeback...

Despite his second impeachment trial, which concluded over the weekend.

As you will all know, Trump was acquitted of all the charges being held against him.

A two-thirds majority of the one-hundred US senators - sixty-seven - was required for a conviction, and Democrats fell short of reaching that bar.

In total, fifty-seven senators voted to convict, and forty-three voted not guilty.

Upon the news of his acquittal, Trump spoke out to thank his lawyers and his supporters for their hard work and loyalty throughout the process...

Before announcing that his movement had only just begun.

"Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun. In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it!" his statement read.

Of course, Trump supporters far and wide rejoiced at the news...

And their hopes for the Trump 2024 campaign were ignited once more.

So, what better way to celebrate than to organize a hero's welcome for the former president?

On Monday - which was also President's Day - viral footage showed hoards of Florida Trump supporters lined along Trump's route home from his West Palm Beach golf course, armed with Trump flags and memorabilia.

Trump himself was seen in public for the first time since the groundbreaking decision...

And he could be seen smiling, waving, and giving a thumbs up to his loyal supporters.

Monday's event, which was dubbed a "peaceful and patriotic" pro-Trump rally, saw hundreds of his supporters gather outside the Mar-a-Lago Club, waving flags and cheering for the former president...

All without wearing masks, of course.

Quite predictably, many were quick to raise their eyebrows at the footage...

But, on the other hand, some people were delighted with the scenes, and insisted that it was a mere example of Trump's great leadership.
