We live in a world that worships celebrities. And thanks to social media, we’re constantly consuming the daily lives of these famous people. At times it can almost feel as if we know them– and we sort of do. Their lives fascinate us so much that we keep up with their every move. But, there has to be a line, right? A line between being a fan of someone and wanting to actually be them.
What can we classify as taking the fandom “too far?” Well, it’s probably when they want to physically look identical to their favorite celebrity, right? Speaking of look-a-likes, a set of twins from Arizona spent nearly twenty grand in cosmetic surgery to make themselves look like Brad Pitt. Now, that’s a lot of money and a lot of plastic surgery.
Listen, there’s no denying that celebrities are beautiful.
When you have a ton of money and access to the best beauty experts in the world, of course you’re going to be stunning.
Nobody is denying that famous people got it going on.
And yeah, it’s not fair that most celebs look as if they’ve been carved out of actual sunshine.
But does that mean we should try and look like them?
For Matt and Mike Schleep, the answer is, “Yes. We should do whatever we can to make ourselves look like our favorite celeb.”
The brothers and aspiring actors are obsessed with Brad Pitt.
Which, is understandable.
But the twins took it to the extreme and spent $19,000 dollars on cosmetic surgeries to look like their cinematic hero.
Now, that’s a lot of money.
There’s nothing wrong with plastic surgery– no judgment here! But to spend $19,000 on agonizing surgeries to make you look like somebody super famous? That must hurt.
There has to be better ways to spend that money, but these guys didn’t think so.
And the procedures were brutal. At one point, they couldn’t even eat real food.
Their dedication to look like Brad is real.
Between the two of them, they each had 41 porcelain veneers done and extensive surgeries.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it:
They do not look like Brad Pitt.
When the twins were 21, they were on MTV’s “I Want a Famous Face.”
Their surgeries included cheek implants, jaw implants, chin implants and a nose job.
They think it was worth it.
Whatever makes you happy, right?
They loved the results so much that they would do it again.
While appearing on the show, Matt said, “I would do it ten times over. It has definitely helped me get more girls. I’ll walk and get that double-take from girls and hear the whispering that follows.”
But do you think he gets mistaken for Brad?
They say that their transformation has had a dramatic affect on ex-girlfriends.
“I’ve had such a dramatic change that girlfriends I hadn’t seen in a while couldn’t stop staring, and said they wanted to cry! If that doesn’t make you feel good, then what would?’
They’re happier than ever before.
“I never knew that I could be as happy as I am right now,” said Mike.
They have no regrets.
Which is good, because those surgeries sure weren’t cheap.
Mike encourages other to get surgeries if they want it.
“I feel on top of the world by the few tweaks that I went through. Go through with the surgery now because you don’t want to go through life always feeling down with the way that you look,” he said.
The twins aren’t the only people who have undergone radical plastic surgery to look like a celebrity.
Sahar Tabar from Iran underwent surgery to look like Angelina Jolie.
It was reported that Tabar underwent 50 surgeries.
However, fans of hers and some of her followers on Instagram believe she makes herself look that way with makeup and prosthetics.
Can you see the resemblance?
It’s a bit shocking and harrowing, to say the least.
If she does create this look with makeup, that’s some serious skill.
A blog profiled her Instagram account, and the then 19-year-old went viral.
She has over 400,000 Instagram followers and has said she would do anything to look like Angelina Jolie.
There’s also speculation that she heavily photoshops her pictures.
She’s definitely had plastic surgery, but the pictures on her Instagram barely look human. People have pointed out that her photos are blurry and warped, indicating she’s tampered with them significantly.
Okay, plastic surgery aside, are there real celeb lookalikes?
There’s a ton. The world is brimming with celeb doppelgängers.
Ariana, is that you?
There are definitely some similarities here.
Does Harry Styles have a little brother who looks exactly like him?
The resemblance really is uncanny.
It’s very easy to mistake this girl for the famous model.
But okay, back to the crazy plastic surgery.
Crystal wanted to look like Britney Spears.
I can see it.
Sha wanted to look like Pamela Anderson.
She was thrilled with her results.
Jordan Parke wanted to look like Kim Kardashian.
Those lips are seriously pouty.
Plastic surgery isn’t for everyone.
And obviously, there are different levels to plastic surgery.
Like with anything, it can range from the very subtle to the very extreme.
Everyone feels differently about it.
Some people are totally against it, while others are super open about their plastic journey.
At the end of the day, you have to just do what makes you happy.
Although, think of all the things you can buy with $19,000 instead of Brad Pitt’s face!
Just think about it.
