An international soccer star and one of the most stylish women in the world? Sounds like a match made in heaven to me.
As we know, David Beckham rose to fame when he signed on as a professional football player for Manchester United back in 1993.
Victoria was also at the height of her career in the mid-1990s thanks to the pop band Spice Girls, where she famously took on the name Posh Spice.
The pair have become somewhat of a household name over the years…
They began dating back in 1997 after they met at a charity football match of all places. Victoria apparently wrote her number on the back of a train ticket that she had on her from traveling down that day (something David still has).
In his autobiography, David said of their early years: “My wife picked me out of a soccer sticker book. And I chose her off the telly. It felt straight away like we’d always been meant to be together.”
Then just a year on, David proposed to Victoria, with the fashion mogul announcing she was pregnant with their first child later the same year.
Twenty-three years later, the pair have 4 children together — Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
And they’re still going strong!
But recently, fans have noticed cracks beginning to show…
And many have been left feeling worried for the couple.
“What do you mean… they have problems just like us regular people?” wrote one person.
“I knew it. As hard as she tries she can’t ‘Bend It Like Beckham,'” joked another.
The reason people are feeling nervous?
Fans have noticed that Victoria appeared to have her David Beckham tattoo removed!
However, a source has told TMZ that there are no marital issues, although Victoria has had several of her tattoos removed.
Since then, Victoria has revealed why she had the tattoo removed from her wrist.
Speaking on Today With Hoda & Jenna on Thursday, the fashion designer shut down speculation that the tattoo removal had anything to do with problems in her marriage…
“I had these tattoos a long, long time ago,” explained Victoria.
“And they just weren’t particularly delicate. My husband has so many gorgeous tattoos and the children do and they’re very fine. And they’ve had them created by the most phenomenal artists, but mine were just a little bit thick and they were bleeding a little bit and just not looking as pretty.
“They just didn’t look so nice. It doesn’t mean anything more than that,” she continued.
“I think that the media started to speculate: ‘Was I leaving my husband?’ No. I was just a bit sick of the tattoo. It’s as simple as that,” Victoria said.
