This is the chilling moment an 11-year-old girl miraculously survived an abduction attempt at a bus stop in Florida.

Her quick-thinking also led to the kidnapper to be quickly tracked down and arrested.

Keep scrolling to check out to the dark footage.

This is Alyssa Bonal.

CBS

And most days, when she's heading from school she waits at the bus stop.

Two weeks ago, a man approached her.

Pensacola Police Department

He spoke to her and made her feel uncomfortable.

Alyssa told her mom...

And her mom then accompanied her to the bus stop every day too.

But one day.

Alyssa's mom couldn't accompany her.

And terrifyingly the same man came back.

With many believing he had been watching Alyssa every day since, waiting for her to be alone.

The man can be seen pulling up alongside her.

Before getting out of his vehicle and running towards her.

He was armed with a knife.

Alyssa immediately stood up and began running in the opposite direction.

But the man quickly caught up with her.

However Alyssa didn't give in there and began fighting with the much bigger and older man.

She can be seen punching and kicking the knife wielding man.

And eventually he falls to the ground.

Alyssa also smeared blue slime onto his arms.

She had been playing with the slime - and realised (from watching Law & Order), that it was a good idea to smear the slime onto her attacker so that he could be more easily identified later on.

The man then got up from the floor and ran back to his vehicle before driving off.

And after an extensive search he was eventually arrested - somewhat in thanks to the blue slime that was all over his arms.

The man was identified as Jared Paul Stanga.

A 30-year-old suspect who was arrested later that day, Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons told reporters on Tuesday.

Bonal explained:

I was able to get the slime onto his upper arm and a little bit on his lower arm. knew that might be better evidence if the cops do find him.

Bonal said she had learned about collecting evidence from her favorite TV show, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

And Alyssa's mom backed up the claims.

Her mom explained:

Her first words were, 'Somebody tried to kidnap me. He grabbed me by my throat, and he had a knife. She said, 'Mom, I had to leave some sort of evidence behind, like on Law & Order: SVU.' We've watched probably every episode on Hulu.

"She's a smart cookie. She thinks on her toes."

And thankfully, Alyssa is doing well.

Her mother believes that she is doing well because she can't comprehend exactly what happened.

But I guess the fact that she's doing well and that she's safe is good enough!

Check out the chilling footage below.

It's the stuff of nightmares.

But things get better.

Remember when we told you her favourite show was Law & Order? Well, Mariska Hargitay, who stars on the show surprised Alyssa with a lovely video call.

How brave this 11-year-old is!
