8 years ago today, an icon to many, was taken away from the world, and his pal Vin Diesel has honored him by writing a heartfelt message to Paul Walker about their daughters.
And it is absolutely heart melting to read.
So, scroll on to see what he had to say.
But don’t forget to keep your tissues close, because you will shed a tear.
Meadow Rain Walker, daughter of departed Paul Walker has a special bond with Vin Diesel and his children.
In fact, Haina Riley Sinclair, thirteen, was the maid of honor at Meadow’s wedding to Louis Thornton-Allan.
And, Vin Diesel has discussed what it means to have Meadow in his daughter’s life.
“To see her with my children is one of the most beautiful things. There are moments when I see her playing with Pauline, and it will hit me so deep because I can only imagine what my brother’s seeing when he sees that.
“I feel very protective. It goes beyond the movie. The whole point of the Fast and Furious saga is the idea that brotherhood can be created by bond and not necessarily blood.”
This was expressed after the actor walked the twenty-two-year-old down the aisle at her wedding…
Both Meadow and her partner, Louis Thornton-Allan, said “I do” at a beautiful and intimate ceremony that took place in the Dominican Republic surrounded by their loved ones.
Though a lot of their friends and family could not make it due to travel restrictions, it looked as though the couple still had a wonderful time.
Taking to Instagram, Meadow posted some stunning shots from the event including one dedicated to the man who walked her down the aisle: Vin Diesel.
Comments poured in, congratulating her on her marriage as well as her bond with her “Uncle Vin.”
“Vin walking down was so heartwarming. Paul is shining down,” wrote one user.
“Vin walking you made me legit tear up and I’m a damn guy,” another added.
And now, Vin Diesel is yet again extremely proud of both his daughters, and Paul’s daughter…
Sharing his love for them in a heartfelt letter he posted to his Instagram 8 years after Paul tragically lost his life in a car collision.
But, before we share his letter, it wasn’t only Diesel who had something to say on this sad day.
“I love and miss you endlessly. Today and every day I celebrate your life, your love. And you, my best friend,” Meadow Rain Walker wrote beside a photograph of her and Paul.
But there was one tribute in particular that had the whole world crying.
Everyone shared their love for the sweet message, including Meadow.
And many others…
“So much to tell you…”
“I can remember that day when you and I were filming that scene in F4 where we were eating Chinese food and we had a brother combat scene which ended in you saying ‘Letty just wanted you to come home, Dom…’” Diesel began in his Instagram post.
“When we were done filming that day you came into my trailer and asked, what’s on your mind? You always knew when something was on my mind. Haha,” he carried on.
“I told you that I was about to have a baby and didn’t know what to expect at the hospital which I was heading to after work. Will never forget what you told me…”
“You said a lot of tough guys will tell you to wait outside of the delivery room, but that’s wrong. Go in there, actually cut the umbilical cord and it will be the best day of your life. You, of course, was talking from experience, having already an angel of your own.”
“It’s been eight years today… and not a day goes by that I don’t reflect of the brotherhood we were blessed to have…but you know that.”
“Tragedies in life are always followed by life’s blessings if you just stay open and have faith.
“Look at this photo Pablo, it will make you smile. The same angel that you helped me prepare for in the most beautiful way with your brotherly advice is the same angel that precious Meadow asked to be her Maid of Honor,” he wrote.
And then, he said something that will truly have you fighting back your tears.
“How could I have known that back on the 2008 set of Fast… but maybe somehow you did. Miss you. My children always tell me that uncle Paul is with you dad, always… and I know in my heart that they are right. Miss you Pablo…”
We miss you too, Paul.
