These days, no one is paid enough money for what they do. It's 2018, and the idea of a side-hustle is real. But, no one wants to pick up weekend shifts at Starbucks where *shudder* we could run into someone we know. We all want to be in bed in our PJs raking in the Benjamins without a care in the world.

So hey, I'm going to tell you how to do exactly that.

Now, a quick caveat. Not all of these tricks are going to work for you, and that's okay. You wouldn't want to pick up 28 new side hustles anyway. So find a couple you think are interesting, and try them out until you find the perfect intersection of money-making and acceptably lazy. I believe in you.

So you want to get your side hustle on?

Get out your pen and paper, and open a fresh browser window, because we're about to dive in. (But maybe don't do this while you're at work.)

Start a blog and make it niche.

Are you a big talker? Maybe Siri can convert that into text for you. Here are two tips in one! Start a Wordpress blog, that utilizes Ads. You won't be raking in the dough right away, but after a while, and after A LOT of articles, things will start to happen. While you're waiting for the money to flow in, reach out to brands that sell products you love. You can write reviews for them, and possibly get free stuff in return.

Sell some physical products on an E-Commerce site.

Remember the days when you had to make your mom a candle for Christmas because you knew it would cost you $2, but she would still love it? That's sort of like economics! You can use those shrewd business instincts to starts an online storefront. Sell your candles to all your relatives, and then their friends, and then like, I don't know, Oprah! It's that easy.

Go Freelance.

Here come the links. Hundreds of companies are looking for freelance workers, and guess what? There are websites that can connect you. Check out these sites to find a job you're fit for. Some of our favorites are UpWork, Freelancer, and Guru.

Become a "coach"!

Coaching is 2018's version of advising. And honestly, it's probably a bunch of B.S. There are so many people who have started businesses off of luck and have NO IDEA how to it. But maybe you do. If you have some kind of business expertise, big or small, sell yourself as a Business Coach and hit the streets. You don't even need to consult specific companies. Set up your own website and offer a blanket approach by putting your information behind a paywall. That way you can set it and forget it.

Create some online courses.

Similar to the last one. If you have a specific area of expertise, make some videos or write some posts about that topic, create a website, and run some ads!

Okay. Sure, YouTube might not bring in as much money as it used to, but there're still a lot of opportunities there. Once you start gaining some followers, you can start work with sponsors, create merch, and even team up with other YouTubers to grow together. And another little tip for you. Volume is key on YouTube. Create as much as you can.

Record a Podcast.

You know you want to. You've always wanted to. Do me a favor and make it about something interesting or unique. No one wants to listen to you talk about every episode of the Wizards of Waverly Place that had ever aired, but we also don't want to listen to another true crime podcast. Find the middle ground.

There are actually a ton of resources to help you find work you can do from home. Here are some of our favorites. Remote. remotely, We Work Remotely, Virtual Vocations, and Skip the Drive.

I know it's weird, but if you're going to be out of town frequently, you might as well. It'll help you keep your place a little cleaner than it currently is, and who doesn't want that?

Design some t-shirts.

If you're good at designing art, then you can sell your prints on either your own site or upload your designs to a website like Cotton Bureau and let them handle all of that for you.

Become a Virtual Assistant.

Are you a super-organized person? I know that I'm not, but if you are, you should become a Virtual Assistant. It's so easy, you just need to send a few emails and calendar invites are you're good to go. You don't even need to get out of bed.

Join a focus group or take an online survey.

I was apart of a focus group once. It paid really well, and all I had to do was smell some body spray. I would highly recommend.

Sell your old stuff.

We all have an old first-generation iPod at the bottom of a drawer somewhere. Sell it! Old clothes, movies, electronics, whatever! Hop on eBay or craigslist and start selling. Plus, you'll have way less crap in your place.

That's it!

You did it. By now I assume you're a millionaire. Please send some money my way as I'm collecting commissions for this article. Thank you!
