Following an unthinkable tragedy, one woman is now facing a $6,000 bill as her wedding venue refuses to refund the cost. People are hugely divided on this...

Planning a wedding is already one of the most stressful experiences imaginable.

But one woman's experience sounds nothing short of hellish.

There's so much to think about.

Especially as every detail needs to be thought about.

After going through all of the trials and tribulations of finding a perfect venue ...

Tragedy has struck for one poor lady after her fiancé passed away.

The death of a partner is already almost impossible to deal with.

But now one woman faces an extra stress on top of her grief.

The venue is holding her money and refusing a refund.

And it's completely divided the internet ...

Fiona Boswell, 50, tragically lost her groom, Guy Boswell, 50, in March.

He died of heart failure after a battle with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.

The couple was planning to marry at Elm Farm Country House in Horsham St Faith, UK, in July.

But now Fiona has been forced to cancel the £4,100 ($6,000) ceremony.

And now Fiona is left unable to claim a refund.

"We chose the venue as we had friends marry there and the day was lovely. It was also our first outing as a couple. When I let the venue know what had happened and asked for a refund, the response was just a straight no," she explained.

"Back and forth correspondence saw the venue had no compassion and were rude. The impact from this on myself and my family has been huge. It has made me angry."

"It has also encouraged others to reach out to me who have had the same response from the same venue."

"The company only offered to sell the day for me, or I could sell it myself, when I advised them that I would be looking to ask a solicitor to get in touch with them."

"I told them how upset this had made me - selling my day that was supposed to be a happy day shared with my family and friends, a day I will never get to do with Guy."

"I want these companies to look at the terms and conditions and add clauses to cover these unforeseen events or advise on wedding insurance."

Fiona is also still very much in the thick of the grieving process.

"Our relationship was perfect, we were soul mates. He was the love of my life. We were both sad that we had not met earlier as young adults."

"I was so happy when Guy proposed. He got down on one knee after putting my ring in a champagne glass while we were with our friends in a pub."

"The impact of his loss has been huge on his family and I. We were told he would not see old age but did not expect it this quick. This was second marriage for us both and we loved each other."

"We did everything together. I feel like I have lost a limb, and that I will never have that love again."

We can only imagine what Fiona is going through.

Luckily, the internet has come together.

With a GoFundMe set up to help Fiona with the costs.
