This is the best possible avenue for Tim Burton to make a comeback. His late 90s/early 2000s stuff is some of my favorite movies of all time

If this doesn't have Christina Ricci taking the matriarchal role, it just doesn't matter.

No, I’m not a fan of his wife & he’s imbedded her into all his projects so I’m gonna avoid this one too.

How are there only 2 women announced on this creative team, and no one saw that and thought it might be a problem in a coming of age story about a girl? pic.twitter.com/9B3U32DL0S

The series is centered around Wednesday Addams' years as a student at Nevermore Academy.
Wednesday discovers her psychic abilities while trying to uncover a killing spree that is terrorizing the town and solve one big supernatural mystery. It all sounds pretty action-packed.
Burton is set to direct and produce the series.
Gough and Millar will serve as showrunners and exec producers alongside Andrew Mittman.
Netflix will be streaming 8, hour-long episodes for the new show.
Wednesday became the source of a bidding war between streamers last year, but it seems like she's finally in the right hands.
With Netflix welcoming Burton's first live-action TV series.
Burton was previously set to direct a 3D stop-motion animation of The Addams Family...
Sadly, the feature never came to fruition.
The new series is apparently unrelated to any previous adaptations...
Including the animated film which came out back in 2019, featuring the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg, and Bette Midler.
The show has marked Burton's debut for television...
