We all know Wendy Williams.
Basically, this woman can do it all. She’s been in the business for a long time.
Wendy has an incredibly charismatic personality, so it’s no surprise she found success on the radio.
And she soon made the jump to screen, too!
The Wendy Williams Show has now been on the air for more than ten years…
With a huge and loyal viewership.
However, the show has not been without its controversies …
Who remembers the time when she said that nobody feels sorry for Meghan Markle? Now that was savage.
And in recent months, Williams has been struggling with her health, too…
She has always been candid about her health problems.
She opened up about her lymphedema in a TMZ Live interview back in June…
Showing her swollen foot which had become discolored due to her illness.
In the same interview, she has limited feeling in her feet, “maybe 5 percent of my feet” as a result.
“Normally I would be in a wheelchair. I’m not in a wheelchair. I stand up,” she said, revealing that when she stands “all I do is look down ’cause I don’t wanna fall down.”
And I think we can all remember when she passed out on the air almost 5 years ago…
When she was dressed as the Statue of Liberty for the Halloween episode of her show.
Her health has become more of a concern in recent years.
Which led Fox to make a big decision.
They decided to replace Williams on her show with guest host Sherri Shepherd.
“This is also a bitter-sweet moment for us and our partners at Fox. We all have great love and affinity for Wendy, who grew into a true icon during her 12 incredible seasons as the solo host of a live, daily talk show dishing on ‘Hot Topics’ and interviewing celebrities,” TMZ reports.
And it seems that Williams’ health has only gone down from there.
She was recently spotted looking pretty disorientated as she left a building in New York City earlier this week.
Fans have voiced their concern for Williams as she suffers from a range of medical issues, including lymphedema and Graves’ disease.
In the recent video, Williams could be seen looking worryingly thin as she left the building and approached a car.
Opening the door of the car, she asked the driver: “Where am I flying?”
Before responding: “This is not where I’m flying.”
“I look 30,” she then said to a member of the press before backing away from the car she was seemingly about to get in.
She then began to pose for the photographers, saying: “How do I look? Sexy?”
In another clip from The Sun, she is heard discussing her money worries: “Well, my American Express is broken, so I gotta take care of that.”
You can see the clip here.
Most recently, Williams has decided to venture into bigger and better things…
Like entering the world of podcasting, with her new project, The Wendy Experience.
This news broke the internet after Williams’ manager, Will Selby, revealed the former daytime star signed a whopping $4.5 million deal to record the podcast series from the luxuries of her own home.
“We haven’t taped an episode just yet,” he said.
“Every time we’ve wanted to do so, someone is trying to offer me something so that they can partner with us,” Selby confessed last month.
But the media mogul made a shocking revelation on August 9, as she appeared in a new promotional clip for the show…
And its left fans biting their nails anxiously.
“Get well 1st!!! That’s the most important thing,” one person wrote.
“I love you Auntie but trust me we would rather see you all healed up then bringing us the messy gossip. I personally care more about you than that,” wrote another.
Despite rumors doing the rounds that she isn’t keeping well and is currently battling Wells Fargo for control over her financial accounts, her attorney told The Wrap that Williams was “of sound mind.”
But what did Williams actually say to worry her fans?
In the promotional clip, Williams first spoke about her return…
While subtly hinting that it may be delayed…
“Co-hosts, I’m famous, and I’ll be back,” she said.
Nothing wrong with that statement, right?
But fans’ excitement turned to misery in seconds after she uttered the next 2 words…
“Trust me.”
Well, we do Williams makes a BIG comeback!
