From stretch marks to breastfeeding, Ashley Graham has been super open about everything when it comes to motherhood. But it seems recently she has taken things a step too far and she has been slammed by none other Wendy Williams for changing her baby's diaper in Staples.
Wendy Williams took to her talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, to slam Graham for changing her son, Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin's, diaper in the middle of the store.
It comes after the model shared a picture on Instagram showing her changing Isaac's diaper in Staples after being caught out while running errands. Graham posted the picture with the caption:
"Sh*t just got real! First diaper blow up while running errands with no restroom in sight! Thank God I remembered to put the changing mat in the diaper bag!!!"
Many of Graham's followers could relate to the award situation and see the humor in it.
"A Mom's gotta do what a mom gotta do, and where gotta do," one Instagram user wrote.
But, while many could relate others were horrified by the image, with one Instagram user writing: "That's disgusting, go to ur car or somewhere private . Would u sh*t in an aisle because there are no bathrooms."
Wendy Williams was among those who were unimpressed by Graham's decision.
Taking to her show, Williams said that Graham was "being mommy shamed by me" as she doesn't "want to see this."
Williams agreed that "as a mother, you hate it when you go places and there are no changing tables" however, she believes that Graham should have opted for a different approach like changing the diaper in her car.
Williams went on to explain that Graham's action might encourage other parents to do the same.
"Mothers are looking at Ashley like, 'If she can do it, I can do it too.' No the hell you can't," she said.
"If you have a 7-week-old child [at Staples] … you're watching the baby more than you're watching where the Sharpies and the rings of paper and the cartridges for your printer. When you see that baby's face turn purple, you know what they're doing. You leave your whole basket there, you scoop up the baby. This is not cool, and I don't know why we have to know about it on your Instagram."
Williams finished by adding: "This is not hot. Ashley, I like you. This is not hot. This is sending a bad message. I don't want to see this in the store. I don't, and I'm a mom."
