The U.S Army has launched an investigation after a white woman was filmed accusing 4 of its Black soldiers of stealing money at an IHOP.

This incident comes as racial tensions across the country rise.

Just days ago, former police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of the murder of George Floyd, and now, more than ever before, people are fighting for racial equality across the country.

However, it looks like we're a little way off from achieving that just yet.

The latest incident happened at an IHOP in Virginia, where 4 Black soldiers were targeted and verbally abused by a white woman.

The woman approached the men, who haven't yet been identified, as they were seated together at a table and accused them of stealing her money...

After she had given them $30 to pay for their meals.

Their encounter was filmed and posted onto TikTok, where it was quick to go viral.

In the first video, filmed by one of the soldiers, the woman could be seen sitting down at their table after allegedly putting $30 down.

However, the soldiers said she only put $6 down, so when she asked for her $30 back, she became aggressive. Joe Richard, public affairs director for Fort Belvoir, where the soldiers are based, said:

"She offered to pay for their meal, which is not uncommon when people meet military personnel, it's a gesture as a way to thank them for their service. She placed $30 on their table... But she became antagonistic, claiming the soldiers had taken her money and directed racially charged language at the soldiers."

At one point, the woman could be heard calling them all "sh*tbags."

"Are you the thin blue line, are you BLM, are you antifa?" she can also be heard yelling.

In a second video, a retired air force veteran can be seen bravely stepping in to defend the soldiers, to which the woman threatens to "drop him."

"I will f*****g drop you. You wanna go? You wanna go?"

In the third and last video, an IHOP manager can be seen approaching the veteran for his description of the situation.

While the woman, with her food bagged up, continued to threaten the men.

Joe Richard at Fort Belvoir confirmed in a statement to The Hill that the base is now conducting an "internal review" of the incident.

"We are committed to fostering an environment of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our force. A view of the video will show the Soldiers maintained their composure and military bearing throughout this shocking incident," said Richard.

"The Garrison has the incident under internal review," Richard added.

Officials still don't have any specific information on the woman in the video or the motivation behind her actions.
