An Australian woman is taking action in a big way after her husband’s infidelity.
The Gold Coast Bulletin reports that an upset wife is threatening to picket outside a brothel after her husband wound up spending $6,000 on a night with sex workers.
The husband reportedly spent a whopping seven hours at the Molendinar brothel.
He’s said to have splurged on service upgrades for “fetishes and fantasies.”
When the wife found out about her husband’s expensive adultery, she went to the brothel—with her husband in tow—and demanded to receive an explanation.
She allegedly refused to believe her spouse spent that much money there and said she’d picket the place with her friends.
Suzanne Pfeifer, who is the manager of the brothel, told the woman she could “peacefully protest”—but if she escalated things, there would be consequences.
“[We informed her that] if we have any concerns for safety we would have to call the police,” said Suzanne to the publication.
The manager was concerned for the safety of both the women who would be protesting and the brothel’s clients.
“My concern is that male clients walking in would not appreciate this and verbal altercations can quickly escalate,” she said.
The husband alleges that was “drunk and on drugs,” with no recollection of even visiting the place. But that appears to be false.
Suzanne noted that in the camera footage from his visit, he appeared to be sober. She also noted that clients who are intoxicated are regularly removed from the premises.
He even negotiated to get a cheaper price on the services!
“He’s gone to great lengths to keep paying, plus he negotiated a discount for some of the fetishes and fantasies he ordered,” said Suzanne. “Our girls are good negotiators, you would have to be very coherent to cut a deal.”
The husband knew he was going to face the wrath of his wife.
According to Suzanne, the man paid in cash for the first hour so his spouse wouldn’t find out, and then paid for the rest of the night’s services via a bank transfer. “He tried to put the next transfer through but it said ‘pending’ and so the girls would not continue until it was completed. He didn’t want to wait so he decided to use his credit card, which he had been trying to avoid,” said the manager.
Suzanne also detailed how the payment process went down.
“Sometimes clients don’t like to come down to the desk to swipe their card, so they give us their PIN number to process,” she explained. “We encourage them to put on a towel and come down themselves, but they often prefer the girl to come down with their card. We then call them for the PIN number and send a receipt back, which we check with them. That’s what he did.”
The brothel is denying responsibility in the situation.
“This is not our problem. We are a legal business and this was a legitimate service with a legitimate charge,” said the manager. Suzanne added, “He knew what he was doing … he just got caught.”
The manager said the husband is to blame.
“If the woman is mad about the $6000, take it up with the husband – not us,” said Suzanne. “It’s not fair that we’re the ones getting harassed … go bother him about it. It’s like blaming the casino for your husband gambling … we don’t control his actions.”
She also pointed out that most clients don’t splurge as much.
“Not everyone spends the big dollars,” she said. “Most people get a half-hour standard service with no extra services.”
Hopefully, it looks like husband has learned his lesson the hard way!
