Willow Smith brought a huge revelation to the Red Table this week after she came out as "polyamorous"...
And although her mom, Jada Pinkett Smith, "totally gets it," the same couldn't be said for her grandmother.
Who certainly didn't hold back in her comments. Keep scrolling for the full clip...
Now, Willow Smith is best known for being the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith...
And she's been in the public eye since being a baby.
The twenty-year-old has embarked upon many acting and singing endeavors...
But right now, she is best known for modeling and co-hosting her mom's infamous Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk.
Now, Red Table Talk is known for its honest chats and famous guests...
And the show, which is hosted by Jada, her mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and Willow, has seen a lot of drama over the years.
For instance, Jordyn Woods took to the table to break her silence on the Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian scandal back in 2019.
Jordyn, who is Kylie Jenner's ex-best friend, was caught kissing Tristan Thompson at a party who, at the time, was dating Khloe Kardashian.
The model tearfully admitted to her mistake and begged for forgiveness - which is something the Kardashian family did not grant her.
In December last year, Olivia Jade Giannulli appeared as a guest to break her silence on her parent's involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal that shook the country.
Olivia was attending the University of Southern California when she found she had got a place due to her famous mom and dad, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, paying $500,000 as a bribe to the Key Worldwide Foundation - a payment that was disguised as a donation.
On May 22nd, 2020, Lori pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, and her husband pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud.
While Olivia insisted she had absolutely nothing to do with the fraud her parent's committed to getting her into a prestigious college...
A heated debate went ahead about white privilege - something that didn't sit well at all with Adrienne.
And of course, who could forget...
In July last year, Jada took herself to the table with husband Will Smith to open up about the rumored affair she had with rapper August Alsina.
"We were over," Jada said as Will appeared to be holding back tears, "From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August."
It was all very scandalous...
And Jada and Will's intimate discussion about the ups and downs in their marriage remains to be one of the most famous Red Table Talks to this very day.
Well, until now, that is!
Because in the latest episode of Red Table Talk, Willow has decided to open up about her sexuality by coming out as polyamorous.
While Jada seemed to be fully on board with her daughter's choice...
Adrienne didn't seem so keen and it sparked quite the debate.
Speaking to her mom and grandmother, Willow, who came out as bisexual 2 years ago, admitted to being polyamorous.
"With polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy (a relationship between just 2 people) because that's what everyone around you says is the right thing to do," Willow explained.
Willow, who appears to be in a monogamous relationship with her boyfriend, Tyler Cole, then said:
"So I was like, how can I structure the way that I approach relationships with that in mind? Also, doing research into polyamory, the main reasons why monogamous relationships - or why marriage - why divorces happen is infidelity."
She also explained that she practices ethical non-monogamy, meaning that all partners must give consent to being polyamorous.
However, the young woman was met with resistance by her grandmother.
Adrienne said, "For somebody like me, it feels like it's really all just centered around sex.
"Are you gonna be the person to say, 'you know, just because I don't have these needs, you can't have them either?'" Willow explained to her grandmother, "And so that's kind of one of the reasons why I actually was interested in poly because I was introduced to it through kind of a nonsexual lens. In my friend group, I'm the only polyamorous person, and I have the least sex out of all of my friends."
Willow then asked, "could you imagine being in a group and loving everyone equally?"
To which Adrienne replies simply with, "no."
"Wow, then I really don't know what to say," Willow then says, sounding a little stumped.
"The history of marriage really irks me."
Jada, on the other hand, didn't have a problem with her daughter's choice.
"I'm okay with whatever you do," Jada shrugged, "When you were like 'Hey, this is my get down' I was like, 'I totally get it.' Wanting to set up your life in a way that you can have what it is that you want, I think anything goes as long as the intentions are clear."
