A woman has been arrested after running over and killing a man and his dog while they were out on a walk.

And what happened just moments before has left people even more horrified...

The suspect allegedly hit the pair at high speed...

She was speeding from another hit-and-run incident she committed just moments earlier.

And people have a lot to say about the incident...

The incident occurred on Sunday, April 25, at 8 p.m. in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

When police responded to a hit-and-run involving twenty-five-year-old Michael Farmer and his dog, a Catahoula named Bruce.

Farmer and his dog were walking on Hammond Drive in Sandy Springs...

When a car struck the victim and quickly fled the scene, according to the Sandy Springs Police Department.

Farmer and his dog both died as a result of their injuries.

Sandy Springs Police Traffic Investigators found that the same car had been involved in another hit-and-run just moments before.

They released a statement on social media shortly after...

"Sandy Springs Police Traffic Investigators learned that minutes prior to this deadly incident, the same hit-and-run vehicle had been involved in an additional hit-and-run crash with another vehicle while in the area of Roswell Road and I-285."

They continued...

"The suspect was fleeing the first incident at a high rate of speed when it struck the pedestrian and his dog; causing fatal injuries to both."

Sandy Springs Police Department was able to identify the car as a "2020 white Chevy Malibu with Florida tags"...

And the woman behind the wheel was thirty-eight-year-old Dominque Houston.

Houston was taken into custody straight away before being interviewed by authorities...

She was later charged with vehicular homicide in the first degree, reckless driving, 2 counts of hit and run, and 1 count of following too closely.

Houston has now been booked into the Fulton County Jail...

And is awaiting prosecution.
