Yep, how we seal our cereal boxes is the latest discussion to go viral...
via: GettyAnd people cannot get over the correct way to close these pesky boxes.
Because, apparently, we've all been doing it wrong.
via: GettyWe've all been there... The flaps just won't seal back together, no matter how hard you try.
And this results in some pretty stale cereal.
via: GettyIt's a modern-day nightmare, and we have been quietly putting up with it for years.
But now, one woman has come to the rescue.
via: FacebookBecky Holden McGhee, from the United Kingdom, has recently gone viral after she shared her method of effectively closing open cereal boxes.
Like many of us, Becky had experienced her fair share of stale cereal.
via: FacebookBut now, her life has been changed forever. Taking to Facebook, she wrote: "It's only taken me 40 years, but I now know the correct way to close a cereal box. Genius. It takes seconds, no more dried up cereal and ugly torn boxes to greet me every morning."
The hack has changed Becky's cupboards forever...
via: FacebookSo she decided to share the method in a handy step-by-step video.
Becky has created a video that demonstrates just how you can correctly seal your cereal boxes.
via: FacebookShe explains: "Okay, here is the easiest hack in the world to close your [cereal] box, because we all know that they don't close properly, and it drives you nuts."
It starts with a pretty simple maneuver.
via: Facebook"So, you get these 2 flaps and pop them in," at this, her husband sniggers behind the camera, prompting Becky to laugh and say, "please, we're learning about boxes."
She then folds one of the flaps downwards...
via: FacebookWhich is then folded at the corner.
With this, something magical happens.
via: FacebookBecky suddenly folds the outer corners of the box inwards, creating a triangular shape.
She turns the box aside to give a clearer view...
via: FacebookAs you can see, the 2 corners have been tucked simply and neatly together.
Becky then does the same with the opposite 2 corners...
via: FacebookWhich gives the top of the box a pointy and triangular structure.
One of the large closing flaps is then straightened out...
via: FacebookAnd then tucked inside the box.
It all sounds very complicated, I know.
via: FacebookBut it is actually very simple, and the box is now neatly sealed.
"How about that?!"
via: FacebookIt really is a stroke of genius, isn't it?
Since Becky shared her hack on the social media platform this week...It has gone viral, and now has over 3.1 million views.
People have been sharing their own efforts at the hack...
