Heartbreaking news just in.

Wrestling icon, Jon Huber, has tragically passed away.

Huber was incredibly young.

The much loved star was just 41 at the time of his death.

Huber wrestled under numerous aliases.

And most recently, while wrestling for All Elite Wrestling, he went by Brodie Lee.

However he is perhaps best known for his time in the WWE.

Where Huber wrestled from 2012 until 2019 as Luke Harper.

He died on December 26.

With his wife confirming the heartbreaking news on social media.

Amanda Huber, who is also a wrestler, wrote:

My best friend died today.

The post continued, reading:

I never wanted to write out those words. My heart is broken. The world saw him as the amazing @brodielee (fka Luke Harper) but he was my best friend, my husband, and the greatest father you would ever meet.

“No words can express the love I feel or how broken I am right now. He passed surrounded by love ones after a hard fought battle."

On top of that, I can’t express my love and admiration for the way @allelitewrestling has treated not only my husband but myself and my kids. @margaret.stalvey @meghalegalgirl10@americannightmarecody @thebrandirhodes@nickjacksonyb @mattjackson13@kennyomegamanx @tonyrkhan and the rest of the team at AEW have helped keep me standing and pick up all the broken pieces.

She concluded:

I’ve been surrounded by so much love and incredible people I can’t tag them all but they know who they are and I don’t think they will ever know how thankful I am for them.

Tributes have also been pouring in for the legend.

Some from the world of wrestling itself, others from his fans across the world.

AEW themselves also released a touching tribute which reads:

The All Elite Wrestling family is heartbroken. In an industry filled with good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and beloved in every way.

The touching post continued:

A fierce and captivating talent, a thoughtful mentor and simply a very kind soul that starkly contradicted his persona as Mr. Brodie Lee.

Wrestling legend Nikki Bella also wrote about Jon.

She paid tribute to Jon, writing:
Gone way too soon. His laugh lit up a room. He was so much fun to watch. And his kind soul will live on forever. You were your own kind Luke.

“RIP. @mandahuber we all are here for you and the boys.“

Can't even begin to imagine your pain. So many thoughts, prayers, love and light to you and the fam.

Amanda also confirmed Jon’s cause of death.

Writing that he died following a lengthy battle with a non-Covid related lung issue.

So tragic.

Our thoughts go out to Jon’s family and friends during this hard hard time.

Rest in peace Jon.

He’ll never be forgotten that’s for sure.
