Wrestling icon, Jon Huber, has tragically passed away.

The much loved star was just 41 at the time of his death.

And most recently, while wrestling for All Elite Wrestling, he went by Brodie Lee.

Where Huber wrestled from 2012 until 2019 as Luke Harper.

With his wife confirming the heartbreaking news on social media.

My best friend died today.

I never wanted to write out those words. My heart is broken. The world saw him as the amazing @brodielee (fka Luke Harper) but he was my best friend, my husband, and the greatest father you would ever meet.

On top of that, I can’t express my love and admiration for the way @allelitewrestling has treated not only my husband but myself and my kids. @margaret.stalvey @meghalegalgirl10@americannightmarecody @[email protected] @[email protected] @tonyrkhan and the rest of the team at AEW have helped keep me standing and pick up all the broken pieces.

I’ve been surrounded by so much love and incredible people I can’t tag them all but they know who they are and I don’t think they will ever know how thankful I am for them.

Some from the world of wrestling itself, others from his fans across the world.

The All Elite Wrestling family is heartbroken. In an industry filled with good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and beloved in every way.

A fierce and captivating talent, a thoughtful mentor and simply a very kind soul that starkly contradicted his persona as Mr. Brodie Lee.

She paid tribute to Jon, writing:
Gone way too soon. His laugh lit up a room. He was so much fun to watch. And his kind soul will live on forever. You were your own kind Luke.

Can’t even begin to imagine your pain. So many thoughts, prayers, love and light to you and the fam.

Writing that he died following a lengthy battle with a non-Covid related lung issue.

Our thoughts go out to Jon’s family and friends during this hard hard time.

He’ll never be forgotten that’s for sure.
