The news of Kirby Morrow's death has undoubtedly shocked the world.

The Canadian voiceover actor was known for his roles in animated series including some of his most renowned work as Scott Summers/Cyclops in X-Men: Evolution.

He was only forty-seven years old at the time of his death.

Born in Alberta, Canada, in 1973 and his career in the arts and entertainment business started pretty early on after studying theatre at Mount Royal University.

When he was in his late twenties, he started doing some professional voiceover work...

But it wasn't until 2000 where he secured his first consistent role as the character of Cyclops in X-Men: Evolution. This stint lasted him 3 years before he moved on to Japanese animes.

Morrow voiced the character Miroku in the English dub of Inuyasha.

And he also came back for the follow-up Inuyasha: The Final Act. He was also part of various other Inuyasha films in which he was cast to continue to voice Miroku.

And his work in anime did not stop there.

He also voiced the character of Teru Mikami in Death Note, as well as the protagonist Goku in The Ocean Group's dub of Dragon Ball Z, after taking over the voice from episode 160.

But if you're not really into anime, then you probably won't understand how popular these characters are.

Not to worry, because Morrow also played some key voices in other animated series such as the TV series Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, taking on the role of Michelangelo.

And his talent didn't just stop at voiceovers...

He went on to make a few one-off appearances in such shows as Arrow, The Flash, and Supernatural, which helped him become one of the most renowned artists in the industry.

So it's safe to say, Morrow was a pretty popular guy.

With an army of fans behind him and a whole list of credits, he was one of the most sought-after voiceover artists, being booked for Comicons and multiple fanmeets so that he could give back to his supporters.

So when the news of his death was announced by his brother on Facebook, it hit them pretty hard...

And tributes from friends, fans, and the companies he's worked with poured in to honor the late actor.

As reported by GateWorld, Casey Morrow, Kirby's brother, announced the news via a post on social media.

"Kirby was a blessed and talented individual who brought joy to so many but also thrived off all your love and friendship," Casey Morrow wrote. "He lived for it and it fueled him every day."

But so far, no additional details about the cause of his death have been released.
