And it involves a lot of hiking and beer drinking.

Let's take a look at where this job vacancy will be taking place.

The Devil's Backbone Brewing Company is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia...

And the brewery was founded by Steve and Heidi Crandall who were on a ski trip in the Alps when they tried their first-ever craft beer.

The couple was seriously impressed by European beer...

So they decided to start a whole brewery complete with a full-on brewpub for their own locals and visitors.

And the name?

The mountain region in which the brewery is based was nicknamed "Devil's Backbone" around 300 years ago... so it seemed totally fitting for the couple to name their pride and joy after their home.

In 2016, DB Brewing Company was acquired by Anheuser-Busch...

And since then, the brewery has continued to create award-winning beers and they are now more popular than ever!

So what about this exciting new job opportunity?

Well, DB Brewing Company recently announced on their website that they are hiring for 2021... and the job itself isn't at all what one would expect.

The brewery are looking for a "Chief Hiking Officer"...

And this job would entail a person to travel along the Appalachian Trail between March 1 and September 30, 2021.

But this job isn't just for anybody...

"You’ve gotta love hiking and beer," the company writes in the job description, "We mean really love it." Obviously, applicants must also be over the age of twenty-one.

So sadly, active walkers won't be suitable for this job...

The brewery is looking for the most experienced of hikers as this expedition isn't for the faint-hearted.

Candidates need to be committed...

Because this job will certainly be no walk in the park.

Candidates also need to be in one of the following locations to apply...

Washington, DC, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The brewery expects a lot from its candidates...

The application page asks for your name, address, proof that you are capable of posting cool things on social media, and a video explaining why you're a good fit.

This is probably the only job application where you can probably get away with drinking beer...

But the brewery have stressed the importance of enjoying a nice cold beer as there will be plenty of beer stops during the grueling hike.

And as for the pay?

The winning candidate will be paid $20,ooo for their 7-month dedication.

That's totally worth hiking 2,200 miles... right?

Of course, it isn't everyone's cup of tea but it most certainly would be an unforgettable experience.
