It didn't take long for us to get onto the succulents, as they're one of the best plants to have if you're struggling for space. Not only that, they need minimal watering and light. And their funky patterns are everything.

5. Dragon Tree Dracena

If you're feeling a little extra, or just want something more extravagant to look at while in isolation, this is the perfect plant for you. This vibrant plant is easy to maintain, as long as you water it daily. But let's face it, you've got nothing else to do.

If the name doesn't instantly make you want to buy it, this guy is a great addition to apartments. It needs minimal floor space, minimal sunlight and occasional watering. The perfect roommate.

Just like its name suggests, this plant is perfect for a small space as not only does it purify the air, prevents mildew and mold, it's also a low maintenance plant! It's an all-rounder.

9. Lucky Bamboo

I don't think I've ever seen a more stunning plant. It thrives in dim, indirect sunlight and can add a major sense of zen to your apartment. And no soil, it grows in water!

10. Aloe Vera

I don't think it's lawfully possible for a top 10 house plant list to not mention this essential potted beauty. It has endless benefits, you can add it to beauty regimes, it heals scrapes and burns, plus its funky decor is crucial for any home or apartment alike. Keep it near a window and water regularly.
