It has just been announced that YouTuber, David MacMillan, has sadly passed away.

He was only thirty-years-old.

David, who made popular montage videos for his 250K subscribers, tragically died earlier this month.

Since the news of his untimely death broke, the tributes have been flooding in.

David, who was born in Scotland, worked in the kitchen of a school, where he proved to be a big hit with the students.

However, he found his primary success through his YouTube channel, Pirate Dog.

The YouTube channel has 250K subscribers...

And focuses primarily on edited video montages from DC and Marvel movies.

Some of his more popular edits have garnered millions of views...

With the biggest number being over nineteen million hits.

Things couldn't have been going better for David...

But, in January this year, his world would be turned upside down. He began feeling an ache in his upper arm but put it down to an injury he had suffered in an arm wrestle with his dad at a New Year's party. However, when the pain failed to subside weeks later, David decided to contact his doctor.

Thanks to the pandemic, the results from his assessment were pushed back...

But, when his health began to deteriorate in April, his worried doctor sent him to the hospital where he was quickly diagnosed with a germ cell tumor, a very rare form of cancer that can be caused while a baby is developing in the womb.

David was determined to fight this devastating disease...

And he underwent several courses of chemotherapy, which aimed to shrink the tumor that was pressing against his heart. But, sadly, the treatment didn't work.

Medics broke the news to David and his family that there was nothing more they could do...

And he was told he had mere months left to live.

And, on October 8th, David finally lost his battle.

In his mom's arms, he peacefully passed away. Rest in peace, David MacMillan.
