Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) levels an opponent with an elbow
Yay! I dunked! Who can I elbow in the face about it?
(Skip to 1:00 if you want to go straight to the close-up, slo-mo replay. It’s ridiculous…)

I believe a name change would be in order for Mr. World Peace.
…Metta Jon Jones
… Metta Incredible Hypocrite
It’s like he’s the same guy who punched a fan in the stands once.
He said in an interview that it was unintentional. That’s hard to be since if you look at the video, his left arm runs into Harden just before he throws his left-armed elbow to Harden’s head.
On top of that, he traveled.
Lee, you’ve never watched an NBA game before, have you? ;-)
It’s one of the reasons I’m not a big NBA fan.
Yep. Nothing says “World Peace” like a blow to your opponents head.
I don’t think he learned the song “let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.”
C’mon the jersey is a typo, should read “Whirled Peas”
If all NBA games were like this, I would definitely be a fan.
I think it’s funny watching him try to explain to the ref what happened. “Nah, man, I was just beating on my chest like a gorilla — you know, to show how tough I am — and his head was just there. Totally an accident.”
From Wikipedia, “World Peace chose Metta as his first name because it is a traditional Buddhist word that means loving kindness and friendliness towards all.”
Loving kindness and friendliness towards all. Hmm….
