Police brutality is an ongoing issue.
via: Getty ImagesAbout 1 in 1,000 black men and boys in America can expect to die at the hands of police, according to a new analysis of deaths involving law enforcement officers.
This is not okay...

The tragic death of Ahmaud Arbery made headlines a couple of weeks ago.Arbery was shot dead by police in Brunswick back in February while he was jogging through the Satilla Shores neighborhood.
Cellphone footage showing the moment he was shot has prompted national outrage since it surfaced online...The twenty-eight-second video shows Arbery jogging around a neighborhood on a sunny afternoon in late February. The footage ends with 2 loud gunshots.
After the video circulated on social media...

Because, this week, yet another innocent black person died at the hands of the police.
via: Getty ImagesIt happened in Minneapolis on Monday, and passersby filmed 2 police officers "arresting" George Floyd for an assumed forgery incident.
Police found George matching a suspect's description in his car.
via: TwitterEven though he didn't resist arrest, one of the officers got him on the ground and pinned him there by pressing their knee into his neck.
This position was clearly very painful for him...
via: Twitter"Please, please, I can't breathe," George can be heard begging in the harrowing footage, as the other officers remain standing.
George's nose begins to bleed...
via: Twitter"My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts," he moans as passers-by begin to gather and repeatedly tell the officer to stop leaning on him.
Multiple witnesses are arguing with the officers when he starts to lose consciousness...
via: Twitter"He's not f****** moving!" one witness shouts as another says, "Get the f*** off him, he isn't moving!" One of the officers responds with, "This is why you don't do drugs, kids."
After around 4 minutes of the officer kneeling on him, George is completely unresponsive.
via: TwitterAn ambulance arrives, the paramedics check his pulse and move his body onto a stretcher - Devastatingly, he was later pronounced dead in the hospital.
George was only forty-six-years-old...

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey addressed the incident in a press conference on Tuesday morning, referring to events in the video as "wrong at every level."
@AttorneyCrump Something is wrong with white cops, they just murder black men like it's hunting season.— Blessed24/7 (@Blessed24/7)1590503025.0
"Being black in America should not be a death sentence. For 5 minutes we watched as a white officer pressed his knee to the neck of a black man. For 5 minutes," he said.
"When you hear someone calling for help, you are supposed to help. This officer failed in the most basic human sense. What happened on Chicago and 38th, this last night, is simply awful."
Frey held another press conference yesterday...
via: Getty ImagesAnd this time, he called for the outright arrest of Derek Chauvin - the officer who is responsible for the murder of George Floyd.
The Mayor pointed out that if any normal person had committed this horrific act, they would be in jail right now.
via: Getty Images"Why is the man who killed George Floyd, not in jail?" Frey asked during the press conference. "If you had done it or I had done it, we would be behind bars right now, and I cannot come up with a good answer to that question."
Frey described the decision to fire the officers as "the right call," but he urged the Hennepin County attorney to take further action.
But we can’t turn a blind eye. George Floyd deserves justice. The Black community deserves justice. His friends and family deserve Justice.— Jacob Frey (@Jacob Frey)1590603456.0
The majority of Minneapolis is standing valiantly behind Frey...
via: GettyAnd thousands of protestors have taken to the streets to speak out against the injustice of George's murder.
But, while most have been protesting peacefully...
via: GettySadly, others have turned to violence to get their message heard.
The protests have taken an ugly turn.
via: GettyAs the tension and frustration grew, protestors turned violent, with many resorting to arson and vandalism to get their message heard.
The scenes have been terrifying.
via: GettyAnd the police have been forced to resort to smoke bombs, tear gas, and flash grenades, which have injured many.
The military has also been deployed to assist with the situation...

President Trump commented on the situation...And he has sent out a message of warning to all the violent protestors.
Now, Trump has already weighed in on the tragic death of George Floyd. The President tweeted on Wednesday that he had launched an investigation into the tragedy, and promised that justice will be served.
But yesterday, he has had some harsher words for the violent protestors currently rioting across Minneapolis. He wrote: "I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis. A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right....."
His Twitter thread continued:"These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"
"When the looting starts, the shooting starts."
via: GettyTrump's words have been deemed so violent that Twitter have been forced to add a warning label to his tweet.
Many people are horrified by Trump's blase attitude to the use of guns...
@realDonaldTrump "THUGS"??? "when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"??? WTF is wrong with you?! Resign now!— Angela Belcamino (@Angela Belcamino)1590729448.0
But others have applauded his direct and matter-of-fact approach to the violence...

Then Trump has commented again. And yet again, his comments are incredibly violent and threatening.
He spoke about being safe in the White House. The President wrote:
Great job last night at the White House by the U.S. @SecretService ... I was inside, watched every move, and couldn't have felt more safe. They let the 'protesters' scream & rant as much as they wanted, but whenever someone got too frisky or out of line, they would quickly come down on them, hard -- didn't know what hit them.
The front line was replaced with fresh agents, like magic. Big crowd, professionally organized, but nobody came close to breaching the fence. If they had they would have been greeted by the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons I have ever seen.
But then the darkest comment. Was when Trump added: 'Many Secret Service agents just waiting for action'.
He suggest younger agents are most violent.Quoting a Secret Service officer, who said:
'We put the young ones on the front line, sir, they love it, and ... good practice.'So that's it then. Trump officially has absolutely no compassion for demonstrators. And they have none for him.
Now a completely new angle of George Floyd's arrest has emerged. The footage, obtained by activist, Shaun King, appears to show George being roughed up pretty badly in the back of a police car.
It's hard to tell what's going on.
It appears officers are lookouts. The footage appears to show at least one officer standing guard and looking out for passersby as they 'beat the sh*t out of George Floyd', according to Shaun King.
All four cops have lost their jobs. And one of them has been arrested and charged with murder and manslaughter.
The videos are highly revealing. And they quite clearly show the role the other officers had in the build up to his death.
American's have the right to a peaceful protest...
via: GettyBut there is no room for violence - too many lives have already been lost.
