It seems as though Meghan Markle won’t be traveling to London for the unveiling of the new Princess Diana statue…

As a recent report has claimed the Duchess of Sussex “will not fly to the U.K” to support Harry on July 1st.

But apparently, she did want to be by Harry’s side as he sets to face his family for the first time since the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.

A source close to the couple later said: “Meghan is not going to travel. She has just had a baby and Harry will travel alone.”

ITV Royal Producer Lizzie Robinson also tweeted: “Meghan will not fly to the UK to join Harry for the unveiling of a statue of his late mother Princess Diana on July 1st, a source confirmed after a U.S website claimed she would be attending.”

Both Prince Harry and Prince William will reunite to unveil the statue for their mother, on what would have been her sixtieth birthday.

The statue will be unveiled in the Sunken Gardens, Diana’s favorite spot on Palace grounds.

The Queen has also invited Harry for lunch with her when he comes to visit.

“It’s a typically magnanimous gesture by Her Majesty,” a courtier said, “The lunch will be a chance for them to talk things through.”

It would be the first time that Harry has had a chance to talk with his grandmother since he and Meghan vacated the royal family more than a year ago…

Since then, the Queen has made clear that Harry and Meghan will always be “much-loved family members.”
