All parents should know that overly spoiling their children is a slippery slope...

But many just simply can't resist giving their kids what they want.

Many moms and dads find it difficult to say "no."

Whether that's saying no to buying their kids candy or saying no to them staying up past their bedtime... children who constantly get their own way become spoilt very quickly.

Spoilt children more than often become spoilt adults...

And even though many parents are aware of this fact, some moms and dads just love indulging their precious babies.

All they want is the best for their little ones...

When the matter of the fact remains that spoiling a child actually isn't that good for them... especially when it comes to them growing into well-rounded adults.

But this is completely irrelevant to lots of parents out there...

And Laura McNaughton is certainly one of those overly-indulgent parents.

Laura, who is thirty-three, is a mom of 2 daughters...

Twelve-year-old Darci and eighteen-month-old Merci.

The little family lives in Scotland...

And Laura is a single mom and a civil servant earning an average wage... but this doesn't stop her from giving her girls the life of luxury.

Of course, Laura makes sure vital things such as bills and rent are paid on time...

And there's always food on the table so her girls don't go hungry.

But about the "spare cash" that she has lying around after all of her payments are made?

It all goes on Darci and Merci, leaving Laura with absolutely no savings after spending roughly $50,000 a month on her girls.

You name it...

And in addition to this, she gets £20-a-week pocket money ($25) which she can spend on what she likes - which is usually a McDonald's after school.

Not to mention the £300 ($382) Darci gets every month...

Just to spend on clothes! Her favorite brands include Gucci, Pretty Little Thing, and JD Sports - a store that sells the most in-trend (and expensive) sportswear.

Little Merci is also spoilt on a huge wardrobe...

And the toddler models her wardrobe on Instagram to her 14,000 followers, which Laura spends around $38o on per week. "I love buying her expensive £150-a-pop cardigans from Russia, which I know she’ll grow out of in months."

Laura has now explained why she indulges her daughters so much.

"Darci, being older, knows she looks on-trend and is happier for it. Merci is too small to know. I don't let Merci wear things twice, even though she is so little," she said.

The lavish mom then explained the success behind Merci's Instagram page.

"During my maternity leave, I started posting a couple of cute pictures of her and some companies got in touch asking if they could send me some clothes and if I could post snaps of her in them. I did and they reposted them. Before I knew it she had gone viral!"

She admitted to never buying Merci any toys as the toddler just "isn't interested."

"Some people think my girls must be terribly spoilt, but I disagree that they are," Laura then said. "They are just well looked after and want for nothing. In fact, I sometimes wonder if people who say that are merely jealous of how well treated they are. And I am so proud of them."

Even though Laura's spending is coming from a good place...

Many other parents have failed to see it that way.

Many feel that Laura's money won't buy love...

And if she keeps on spoiling her daughters, they're going to grow to not have any respect for her as a mother.

Why doesn't Laura put that money toward buying a house and securing a more sturdy future for her girls?
