Though, of course, you probably didn’t need me to tell you that.

The Black Panther actor was crowned with the prestigious title yesterday…

And, ever since, it is all anyone has been able to talk about.

The actor, who just so happens to be single, spoke with the publication today about what he is looking for in a partner… and, let’s just say, plenty of people are feeling very hopeful. But first, let’s take a look at the “Sexiest Man Alive” winners from the last decade…

It’s Michael B. Jordan, of course.

He told PEOPLE that the honor is a “cool feeling.” “You know, everybody always made that joke, like, ‘Mike, this is the one thing you’re probably not going to get,'” he said. “But it’s a good club to be a part of.”

“When my grandmother was alive, it [PEOPLE Magazine] was something that she collected, and then my mom naturally reads it a lot and my aunts as well,” Jordan said. “This is one that they’re definitely going to have a special place for.”

Jordan is well and truly single.

And they are very excited about it, to say the least.

And it has made people feel very confident in their chances of being Jordan’s partner.

“I’ve got a list,” he said in this week’s cover story. “That’s probably why my ass is still single, but yeah, it’s a list.”

“Oh man, that’s tough,” he said. “It’s like lips, teeth, mouth. I think I’ve paid more attention to eyes as of late, with these masks. I love a woman’s hips, thighs. Hands and feet. And what order you go, that’s a totally different question.”

He explained that the personality traits he thinks are most important for a successful relationship include “a sense of humor, and true understanding, because [an actor’s] life is not conducive to a relationship—it’s really not.”

“Having people who are married around me, a running theme is ‘You know when you know.’ And it’s one of the most frustrating things to hear as somebody who’s single. I kind of thought I knew four or five times, and that didn’t really work out too well for me.”

“I have faith that one day, yes, I want children. I want a wife. It’s kind of tough right now when I guess my first choice is always working. But having a family is definitely important.” For more on the accomplished actor, keep scrolling…
